Born where water is rare
Arroyo began with one question: what can plants that thrive on almost no water teach us about thirsty skin?

From a kitchen table in Tucson
Marisol grew up in Tucson, where her grandmother kept a jar of prickly pear oil by the kitchen sink. After ten years formulating for big beauty brands in New York, she came home with a notebook of ideas and one rule: fewer, better ingredients, grown as close to home as possible.
The first Arroyo oil was pressed and bottled at her kitchen table in 2019. Today a team of eleven makes every product by hand in a small studio a few miles from where it began.
The desert taught me that beauty is patient. Everything here does a lot with a little.

Every formula is mixed, poured and labeled in our Tucson studio, then shipped from the same room. When you write to us, the person who answers may well have filled your bottle.
