The story

A sunset elopement on the cliffs of Big Sur, with the Pacific below and a seagull who refused to leave.

Isla and Jonah drove down Highway 1 with a picnic, two rings and absolutely no plan. We wandered the green hills above the cliffs all afternoon, then found a quiet ledge just as the sun dropped into the haze.

They wrote their own vows on the drive down. Neither of them made it through without crying.
