The story

A lakeside wedding in Tahoe, from a quiet ceremony on the lawn to a veil-lit kiss long after dark.

Elena and Rafe met on this lake as teenagers, so there was never another option. The ceremony was short and sweet on the lawn by the water, with their grandparents in the front row.

After dinner we slipped away with her veil and a single lantern, and made some of my favorite photos of the whole year.
