Prep & aftercare

Get the most from it

Before your visit

Let hair grow to about ¼ inch (two to three weeks after shaving).
Exfoliate gently the day before.
Skip retinoids on the area for five days.

After your visit

Avoid hot baths, saunas and workouts for 24 hours.
Wear loose clothing over freshly waxed areas.
Exfoliate two or three times a week after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.

Does waxing hurt?

A little, for a second. Hard wax is much gentler than strip wax, and it gets easier with every visit as hair grows back finer.

How long should my hair be?

About a quarter of an inch, which is usually two to three weeks after shaving. Too short and the wax can’t grip it.

Can I get waxed on my period?

Yes. Just wear a tampon or cup. Skin can be a little more sensitive, so some people prefer to book the week after.
